Szabina Somogyi

Warm welcome, my name is Szabina, and I have been an executive function coach at Connections in Mind since 2021.

I have over 6 years of experience as a life coach and positive psychology practitioner. I help my clients reach their goals and develop life skills that are useful in many areas of their lives. My background in psychology gives me a deep understanding of human behaviour, thinking, and emotions.

I especially enjoy working with clients with ADHD. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them succeed when they have the right tools and feel empowered to achieve meaningful goals. For example, I worked with a client who struggled with task initiation and time management (especially deadlines). Through our sessions, they developed strategies to successfully submit all requirements before their deadlines, which helped them to complete the milestones that allowed to practice their dream career.

Educating people about executive functions is incredibly fulfilling. As individuals gain more knowledge, understanding, and practice, they become more confident and compassionate with themselves and others. I understand how challenging procrastination and lack of emotional control can be, and I am committed to helping develop these executive functions and more.

I use practical, science-based techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am warm, supportive, and optimistic, and I believe in holding my clients accountable to help them stay on course.

My mission is to help people realise their potential and thrive. I aim not only to help my clients reach their goals but also to empower them and inspire a love for learning.

My hobbies and interests:

Swimming (water is my happy place); hiking (I am also a nature lover); reading; watching TV shows, dancing; playing charades; travelling.
